Indian cricketer KC Cariappa, recognized for his IPL performances with various franchises, has recently filed a police complaint against his ex-girlfriend, accusing her of threatening him and his family. The uncapped 29-year-old wrist-spinner disclosed that the threats extended beyond personal harm, including potential damage to his cricket career.
The complaint comes a year after the woman had previously filed one against Cariappa, alleging misconduct.
Cariappa, who had parted ways with his ex-girlfriend due to her struggles with drug addiction and alcoholism, revealed that she had not only targeted him but also his family members. The Bengaluru police have initiated an investigation into the cricketer's complaint.
Interestingly, the woman had complained in 2022, accusing Cariappa of impregnating her and administering abortion pills, accompanied by promises of marriage.
